Join Hackforge for a hands-on workshop where creativity meets electronics! Learn the basics of simple circuits by connecting LEDs, batteries, and conductive materials to design a glowing necklace. Recommended for ages 12+ to complete independently, or bring the whole family and work together!
Risks: All tools and materials used in the workshop are selected for low-voltage, low-risk applications suitable for educational environments. However, there are a few minor risks inherent in this project, including:
- Burns from hot glue gun/glue
- Cuts and scrapes from wire, wire stripper, and scissors
- Coin cell batteries may leak if left in contact with extreme heat for extended periods of time. Coin cell batteries can cause serious complications if swallowed.
- The voltage of the batteries in use is minimal enough that even in the case that a circuit is incorrectly or unsafely closed, any potential injury would be extremely minor.
