Community Conversation: Memory and Care

6:30pm – 7pm, 3rd floor galleries

This community conversation is organized by Alzheimer Society of Windsor-Essex County.

Memory shapes how we understand ourselves, each other and the world around us. During Alzheimer’s Awareness Month, we take a closer look at what happens when those memory pathways change and how communities adapt in response. This community conversation examines the realities of Alzheimer’s, current research, and the supports that help people live a full life. How are new care models, community initiatives, and creative approaches to memory-keeping reshaping the way we think about brain health and connection?
With speakers
  • Rosemary Fiss, Director of Programs
  • Lindsay Schinbein, Social Program Facilitator
  • Gail Sajo, Care Partner

Flashlight Tour: Vanessa Dion Fletcher: BIG Doll | XWAT Naaniitus

BIG Doll is an exhibition that shows the process of making and creating from the heart, not the head. Join curator Julie Rae Tucker for a flashlight tour exploring how the artist’s practice invites us to rethink learning, creativity, and community through colour, scale, and shared experience.
