Be sure to join us for AWE Opening Night on June 18 from 5pm-9pm to celebrate the opening of new exhibitions! AWE is open late for an evening filled with art activities, community discussions, guided tours, and great vibes.

NEW EXHIBITION! Sameer Farooq: The Fairest Order of the World

The Fairest Order in the World is a solo exhibition of new and recent work by Cape-Breton born, Toronto-based interdisciplinary artist Sameer Farooq, organized by Dalhousie Art Gallery and guest curated by Mona Filip. In this new project, Farooq expands his previous investigations into the fraught and violent histories of anthropological and encyclopedic museums, their colonial origins, structures and impulses.

Art Activity: In the Studio with Jenny Santos

Jenny Santos is an artist working in ceramics, sculpture, and installation. Her recent work explores growth, transformation, and our relationship with the natural world and the everyday, often revealing unexpected moments in the familiar. She holds a BFA from OCAD University in Toronto and an MFA from the School of Visual Arts in New York City, and her work has been shown in Canada and the U.S.
