Join AWE educator Meaghan Sweeney for a three-part life drawing series that builds your skills week by week! From capturing quick gestures to refining detailed, expressive figures, you’ll explore movement, form, and the art of drawing from life in a fun and supportive setting!

Lesson 1: November 8

Get ready to loosen up your lines! In this first lesson, Meaghan will show you the fundamentals of life drawing by focusing on movement, rhythm, and the energy of the human form. Through line of action and gesture drawing exercises, you’ll learn how to capture the essence of a pose quickly and with confidence.

Lesson 2: November 15

Find the flow in your figures! This class will introduce contour drawing and how to create harmony in your work. You’ll practice seeing and drawing the human body as a continuous, connected form, building expressive lines that bring your figures to life!

Lesson 3: November 22

Take your drawing to the next level with a long pose session. You’ll learn how to plan your composition, build up shapes, and refine details as you go. This class focuses on observation and patience. Watch your drawing go from a rough sketch to a polished work of art.
