Kissing Cousins: New Acquisitions in Conversation pairs recent acquisitions with historical works from AWE’s collection, highlighting how Canadian artists have always been in dialogue with the issues of their times.This exhibition was organized collaboratively with Ella Chiang, Zoe Port, and Lana Zagoric, three dedicated Art Windsor-Essex interns who have quietly and assiduously helped grow AWE’s collection over the past few years. In Kissing Cousins, they reveal how connections are found between works in AWE’s collection and proposed acquisitions, showing the care and intention behind collecting activities.
