NEW COURSE: Winter Crafts with Suela Prendi

COST: 

  • All 3 lessons: $130 for current AWE members
  • All 3 lessons: $150 for non-members
  • 1 lesson: $50 per lesson

LOCATION: AWE, 2nd floor, Education Studio (401 Riverside Dr. W, Windsor)

Online pre-registration is required. All art-making materials will be supplied. This program is open to artists of all ages. Youth must be accompanied by an adult.

Step into the cozy spirit of winter with this hands-on crafting series! Learn how to transform  simple materials like socks, felt, and yarn to create adorable snowmen, gnomes, and festive mugs. Each lesson focuses on creativity, imagination, and winter-themed fun, perfect for family bonding or personal holiday décor!

 

Lesson 1 – Sunday, December 7, 11am–1pm: 3D Snowmen

Winter is on its way! Create an adorable snowman using white socks filled with rice. Learn to shape, decorate, and personalize your snowman with buttons, felt scarves, and cozy winter details.

Lesson 2 – Sunday, December 14, 11am–1pm: Yarn and Felt Gnome

Craft a charming winter gnome using yarn, felt, and pompons. Explore simple construction techniques to give your gnome a charming personality and festive flair.

Lesson 3 – Sunday, December 21, 11am–1pm: Cozy Winter Mugs 

Create a character or cozy winter mug using paper cups, felt, and cotton. This final project brings all the learned techniques together—layering, decorating, and crafting dimension for a delightful winter keepsake.

Meet the artist: Suela Prendi

Suela Prendi holds a degree in Fine Arts earned in Europe, bringing a rich and diverse artistic background to her work. With proficiency in a broad spectrum of media including drawing, watercolors, acrylics and oil painting.

Her artistic repertoire spans an array of subjects such as still life, landscapes, abstract, mixed media, portraits and clay sculptures.

Beyond her artistic pursuits, Suela finds joy in sharing her passion through teaching. Her love for both children and adults is evident in her dynamic and engaging art classes, where she imparts not only techniques but also a deep appreciation for the expressive world of art. Suela Prendi’s art is a reflection of her boundless creativity and her commitment to nurturing the artistic spirit in others.
