No experience required – just curiosity and creativity!

What's in the Studio? Woven Paintings!

Weaving is a technique used to make baskets, fabric, and textiles. Using paper strips of two different artworks, you can weave them into a brand new artwork!

  1. Use paint, markers, crayons and pencils to create 2 different works of art on 2 separate pieces of white cardstock.
  2. Cut one sheet into small strips of paper.
  3. Fold the second sheet in half and cut slits. Unfold your page.
  4. Gently weave your paper strips through the slits to create a woven texture and pattern. Glue or tape the pieces in place if needed!
