Blending painting with sculptural design, this workshop guides you in creating a bold and dynamic artwork. You’ll begin by painting a vibrant background with acrylic paints, experimenting with color blending, layering, and brush techniques to create a lively foundation. Next, you’ll add depth and tactile interest using coffee filters or tissue paper, transforming your painted surface into a richly textured backdrop. Through cutting, gluing, and layering, you’ll construct a three-dimensional sunflower, exploring mixed media methods that merge painting with sculptural design. Using materials such as paper rolls, cardboard, acrylic paint, and textured paper, you’ll learn how to bring form and color together in a cohesive, dimensional composition.
