In this class, you will explore the fundamentals of printmaking using Styrofoam sheets as an accessible and expressive printing surface. Focusing on landscape imagery, you will learn how to translate drawings into carved plates and produce multiple prints while experimenting with line, texture, contrast, and composition. This process introduces key printmaking concepts such as positive and negative space, image reversal, and repetition, while encouraging creative interpretation of natural elements.
