What Does Home Mean To You?

A poem by Aliya Gordon

Home is where you are loved.
A place or person where you can always be
excepted for who you are or who you are
going to be.
A place where you no longer have to
preform to the world in fear of judgment.
A place filled with joy and belonging.
A light in the never ending dark.
Your home won’t always be beside you,
for the most part your on your own.
But if you can see it in your darkest time.
Then that is your home.
Never forget your home.

The idea of home can be deeply personal and emotional. It looks and feels different for everyone, shaped by individual experiences and memories. This display invites visitors to reflect on their own sense of home and consider what it might mean for others.

Home can represent many things. From places and people to feelings and moments. This display celebrates all of these things, highlighting the many ways we experience and define home.
