Call for Submissions: Senior Art Display

The Seniors Council is a collective of creative individuals committed to lifelong learning, actively involved in planning and engaging in artistic workshops at Art Windsor-Essex.

Do you want to display your work in our community space? Please read the submission guidelines below. AWE wants to encourage community members of skill levels to submit their work.

Where will the work be displayed?

Your artwork will be displayed on the 3rd floor in the Solcz Family Suite. AWE will take care of installing the works.

Who can display their work?

This display is open to seniors and older adults 55+ in Windsor-Essex.

What kind of work can I display?

2D works on paper (watercolours, drawings, poetry, collage…)
Canvases (acrylic, oil)
Printed photography (on paper)
This particular space is not suitable for sculpture, objects, crafts, etc.

How do I need to prepare my work?

Works can be framed or unframed. You can also consult us on how to best display our work.
Label the back of your work with a piece of tape or a small label. Include your full name, email and/or phone, title of your work, and you used materials.

How long will the display be up?

The display will be installed the week of Tuesday, October 8th, 2024. It will be on view until Sunday, November 24th, 2024.

When can I visit the display? Who can visit the display?

Visitors can visit the display during our regular gallery hours. We are open to the public from Tuesday-Saturday from 10am-5pm and Sunday from 11am-5pm. We are closed on Mondays. General admission to AWE is $10 or free with a membership. We welcome everyone!
