Open to all artists, makers, creatives, and newcomers in Windsor-Essex. 

Get practical skills to help you learn about the business side of being creative. Develop your ideas, build your creative vocabulary, learn how to promote your work, stay organized, and understand how to participate in the arts. Not an artist? Not a problem! This program is designed to build awareness about the arts and the creative sector – no experience necessary.

2025 RBC Emerging Artist in Residence Application

The RBC Emerging Artist in Residence (EAIR) is a paid opportunity for emerging artists in Windsor-Essex, in the first 10 years of their career, who want to learn, grow, develop, and show their art while engaging with the public.

The selected Emerging Artists will have the opportunity to focus on making their art and share their skills and experiences with the public. The artists in residence will gain new skills, all while connecting with their community in a series of programs or activations.

Exhibition Proposal Guidelines

Art Windsor-Essex’s programming is based on curatorial research.
Exhibition proposals are accepted at any time from institutions and independent curators.

Artists are welcome to send an artist’s CV and information package by email at any time. These informational packages will be reviewed on an annual basis, and will not necessarily receive a response.
