Amherstburg Art Crawl

Starting Point: Art Alley at the River Bookshop, 67 Richmond St, Amherstburg

Join us for the First Annual Amherstburg Art Crawl, a fully accessible 1 km walking tour through the heart of downtown Amherstburg. Discover the rich artistic and cultural heritage of this charming town as you explore the following highlights:

 

1. Art Alley at River Bookshop – 67 Richmond St. 

Start your journey behind the River Bookshop in the captivating Art Alley. Admire stunning murals created by Derkz and David Creed and meet Indigenous artist Naomi Peters.

2. Murray Street Heritage Restoration 

Continue west along Murray Street and witness ongoing heritage restoration efforts and encounter the first of many Gibson Gallery artists showcasing their work along the way!

3. Flo Cafe + Bikes on Dalhousie – 274 Dalhousie St. 

Visit Flo Cafe + Bikes on Dalhousie Street. Meet Nadja Pelkey from AWE and discover Look Again Outside Amherstburg, a series of artwork reproductions installed around town.

4. MusicLand on Richmond Street – 59 Richmond St. 

Stop at MusicLand on Richmond Street! Enjoy a live performance by owner Bethany D’Alimonte.

5. Richmond Street Art

Continue east on Richmond Street, passing by a reproduction by Group of Seven artist Tom Thomson and a magnificent Boblo boat mural by Derkz.

6. Gibson Gallery – 140 Richmond St. 

We’ll end the art crawl at the Gibson Gallery, housed in the historic 1896 Central Railway train station. Reconnect with the artists you’ve met along the way and enjoy live music performances and complimentary refreshments.
