Art in the Park! with Meaghan Sweeney
Sports Puzzle Peice!
Participants contribute to a large basketball court outline drawn on reinforced paper by decorating individual puzzle pieces. Once completed, they tape their pieces onto the court, forming a collective artwork. The setup uses tent posts to hang the paper sheet, and additional drawing pages are available for those who want to continue creating. The activity encourages engagement while keeping materials limited to markers, pencils, acrylic markers, and pastels.
About the Artist: Meaghan Sweeney
Meaghan Sweeney (She/They) is a contemporary mixed media artist based in Windsor-Essex. Her work is an introspective exploration of self, analyzing themes of values, personal philosophy, identity, and lived experience with mental illness. They received their BFA in Fine Arts at the University of Windsor in 2021. She has a strong passion for mental health advocacy and using art as a tool for connection, healing, and community building.
