Joi T. Arcand’s work tell a story of identity, childhood dreams, and intergenerational love. They invite viewers to reflect on their own aspirations and the complexities of navigating multiple dreams and identities. Through colour, texture, and script, the artist honours her personal history while inviting viewers to contemplate the intersections of Indigenous girlhood, ambition, and self-discovery.
