“My Art piece is Live at the Art Windsor Essex. Titled “He has Grey Eyes” -a memory piece for my late brother Gregory Wayne who played hockey at an Indian boarding school in Southern Saskatchewan. Beaded sweetgrass on the blade of a hockey stick. This is probably my most favorite part of the Hockey Stick.” – Krystal Bigsky

Krystal Bigsky is a third-year current Visual Arts student at the University of Windsor from Touchwood Agency, Treaty 4 Territory in Southern Saskatchewan. Over the last few years, she has created art through beadwork and textile work. Krystal is a mother and professional powwow dancer, who travels across the Canada and the United States of America. Recently, Krystal has been combining elements of sculpture, textile, time base, photography and collage with her beadwork. Krystal has a deep fascination with landscapes and natural elements and incorporates them into her work.
