Studio Activity: Exploratory Sound Art with Andrew Bradt⎮ 5pm – 9pm, 2nd floor Education Studio

Join us for an interactive workshop where sound and creativity will collide! Led by artist Andrew Bradt, learn about contact microphones — unique devices that convert vibrations within solid objects into sound— and explore the unexpected audio world of sound. We’ll place a dozen contact microphones connected to a live mixer on a bicycle to visualize the sounds that the object makes. Art supplies will be no hand to transform the visible audio waves into works of art! Read more.

Performance: Dialogue no. 8 by Janzen+Broeders⎮ 4pm – 6pm, 2nd floor galleries

The performances and installation of Dialogue no. 8 respond to over 500 ‘letters of love’ submitted by participants. The artists directly engage with these texts through rhythmic, interactive performances that transform and expand the gallery space throughout the duration of this exhibit. The performances follow 3 rules: 1) Perform letters of love submissions, 2) Connect with the textures of the space, and 3) Embody the sense of touch.

How can we create safer streets for cyclists in our city? The City of Windsor recently announced a new cycling route for this year’s edition of Open Streets, highlighting a growing interest in biking. However, as a predominantly car-centric city, Windsor faces challenges in making cycling a safe and accessible option for everyone. What does this mean for our region, and how can we build a bike-friendly community? Join us for a community conversation on bike safety, infrastructure, and the future of safe cycling in Windsor-Essex. Our panel of experts will explore how we can foster a vibrant biking culture that benefits all residents.
