Art Windsor-Essex respectfully acknowledges that we are located on Anishinaabe Territory – the traditional territory of the Three Fires Confederacy of First Nations, comprised of the Ojibway, the Odawa, and the Potawatomi. Today the Anishinaabe of the Three Fires Confederacy are represented by Bkejwanong. We want to state our respect for the ancestral and ongoing authority of Walpole Island First Nation over its Territory.

Studio Activity: Tariff-Free Zone with Susan Gold
Date and Time: May 17th, 1pm-4pm
Location: 2nd floor, Education Studio
In the studio, we will be prompted by headlines and stories on how tariffs are affecting the community. Begin by drawing or tracing your hand on a sheet of paper. Using art supplies made in Canada—such as paint sticks, tempera pucks, watercolor paint, and markers—decorate your hand in response to the headlines: illustrate them or reflect on their meaning. Then, through collage and watercolor, continue building your work of art. We invite you trade or exchange your work with others.
