The Closest I’ve Felt to God features new works by Toronto-based artist Jordan Sook that reflect on the history of the Underground Railroad. Developed in close conversation with descendants of Freedom Seekers who crossed the Detroit River in their pursuit of freedom, Sook’s exhibition unites community voices to honour the past and inspire a brighter future.
This exhibition is curated by Jennifer Matotek and supported by Windsor-Detroit Bridge Authority.
