About the Artist: Andrew Bradt

Andrew Bradt’s artist practice encompasses improvised electroacoustic performances, installation art, sound design, and acousmatic multi-channel composition. Drawing on his experience as a software developer, Andrew frequently incorporates coding as an essential tool in his creative endeavors. Andrew earned his BFA in Electroacoustic Studies from Concordia University in 2021 and completed the Lighthouse Labs Full Stack Web Development bootcamp in 2022. Notable among his early contributions is an online sound installation for “The Futile Knocking of My Heart,” curated by artists Martin Stevens and Sasha Opeiko, which was showcased as part of the 52nd Annual Convention of the Northeast Modern Language Association. Andrew has also collaborated on two installation works with Kristina Bradt, which were exhibited at Artspeak Gallery in Windsor, ON: “Deconstructed Dinner Party” in 2022 and “Input/Output” in 2023. Since late 2023, Andrew’s focus has been on practicing improvised electroacoustic music under the moniker Crude Flame.
