Art Windsor-Essex respectfully acknowledges that we are located on Anishinaabe Territory – the traditional territory of the Three Fires Confederacy of First Nations, comprised of the Ojibway, the Odawa, and the Potawatomi. Today the Anishinaabe of the Three Fires Confederacy are represented by Bkejwanong. We want to state our respect for the ancestral and ongoing authority of Walpole Island First Nation over its Territory.

Meet the Artist: Megan Andrews
Megan Andrews is an artist from Windsor, Ontario. She recently finished her BFA in visual arts at the University of Windsor. Her practice is influenced by her love of carpentry by predominantly using wood as her canvas. Megan uses the unique grain pattern in each piece of wood to influence her work as she creates abstracted forms with bold colour. Her work focuses on saturated colour use to evoke emotion and draw the viewer’s gaze.
