Summer Art Camps 2025
Dates: AWE is offering 3 weeks of camp! Select your own schedule.
- WEEK 1: July 21- July 25, 2025 9am-4pm
- WEEK 2: July 28 – August 1, 2025, 9am-4pm
- WEEK 3: August 11 – August 15, 2025, 9am – 4pm
Cost: $50 per day, per camper
Location: In person at Art Windsor-Essex, 401 Riverside Dr. W, Windsor
Age range: 6-12 years old
Drop-off at 9am and Pick-up at 4pm

Our Summer Art Camp is the perfect place for young artists to explore new techniques, express themselves, and make new friends who love art just as much as they do. Throughout the week, our talented instructors will lead a variety of fun, hands-on activities—including painting, drawing, sculpting, and more.

We welcome campers between 6 and 12 years old.
Each day, campers will tour a new exhibition and draw inspiration from artwork they find in the gallery.
Throughout the week, our experienced instructors will guide participants through a range of hands-on activities, including painting (from watercolours to acrylics), drawing (from pastels to pencils), sculpting (with clay and recycled materials), and much, much more (experiments, collaborative installations and projects, collage, textiles…).
In addition, campers will spend time outdoors at the park!
9 am: Drop off at front doors.
9 am to 12 pm: Campers are in the education studio or in the gallery exploring exhibitions. Snack break at 10am.
12pm to 1pm: Lunch and recess at the park.
1 to 4 pm: Campers are in the education studio or in the gallery exploring exhibitions. Snack break mid-afternoon.
4pm: Pick up at front doors.
Please pack:
- a peanut-free lunch and snacks
- a backpack
- a reusable water bottle
- outdoor gear (hat, running shoes, sunglasses)
- a sweater (it gets cold in the gallery!)
- a smock or apron, a change of clothes (things will get messy!).
All art supplies provided but we encourage you to bring a personal sketchbook. Note: Please leave all electronics at home.
Drop-off is between 9am and 9:15am. The front doors will be locked to the general public until 10am. An AWE staff member will greet you at the front door for check-in and lead them to the 2nd floor Education Studio. Pick-up is between 4pm and 4:15pm. The campers will meet parents and guardians at the front door at the main entrance of the gallery.
All cancellation requests must be received in writing by email to shinch@artwindsoressex.ca. Art Windsor-Essex reserves the right to cancel or combine programs if minimum registrations are not achieved 14 days prior to a camp’s start date. Full refunds will be made in the event of program cancellation.
