Sunday in the Studio! Nature Self-Portraits with Grace Taylor

DATE: Sunday, May 28th, 2023
TIME: 1pm- 4pm
LOCATION: 2nd floor, Education Studio

For the month of May, let’s experiment with what nature has to offer us! Through creating environments, pressing flowers and more, we can appreciate the small things in the big world around us. Join Windsor-based artist, Grace Taylor in the studio.

To Participate:

  • Drop-in between 1-4pm on Saturdays.
  • This program is free with admission to AWE and open to all.
  • Questions? Please contact Sophie Hinch, Education and Public Programs Coordinator at shinch@artwindsoressex.ca

This program is generously sponsored by Anne Safranyos and family.

This week, let’s consider what connects us to nature. Using found objects from the outdoors, create a self portrait that you think both represents yourself and the world around you!

Furthering her career, Grace works within the arts community of Windsor Essex at Art Windsor-Essex as an installation preparator, assisting in the construction of larger scale art exhibitions. She has also worked as archiving assistant at both Artcite Inc. and Arts Council Windsor & Region, organizing and documenting Windsor’s art records. Grace continues to expand her research and artistic practices through her work at the AWE and experimenting with new artistic materials.
