Weekends in the Studio! Snowman Painting with Suela Prendi

Spend your weekend at AWE! This month, join artist Suela Prendi and create winter-inspired crafts! No art experience needed!
In this class, students will learn various painting techniques while creating a snowman. They will explore how to mix and apply different colors to bring their snowman to life, focusing on shading, layering, and blending to create depth and texture. Students will also learn how to paint details like the carrot nose, buttons, scarf, and hat, which will teach precision and fine motor skills. Additionally, they will explore the concept of light and shadow to make their snowman look three-dimensional.
This class is fun because it combines creativity with the winter elements allowing students to create a joyful winter scene. Painting a snowman lets students experiment with vibrant colors and textures in a playful, festive setting. The process of adding personal touches like different accessories, expressions, or backgrounds makes the experience uniquely enjoyable. The hands-on nature of painting encourages self-expression, while the end result a charming snowman provides a satisfying and festive keepsake

Meet the artist: Suela Prendi
Suela Prendi holds a degree in Fine Arts earned in Europe, bringing a rich and diverse artistic background to her work. With proficiency in a broad spectrum of media including drawing, watercolors, acrylics and oil painting.
Her artistic repertoire spans an array of subjects such as still life, landscapes, abstract, mixed media, portraits and clay sculptures.
Beyond her artistic pursuits, Suela finds joy in sharing her passion through teaching. Her love for both children and adults is evident in her dynamic and engaging art classes, where she imparts not only techniques but also a deep appreciation for the expressive world of art. Suela Prendi’s art is a reflection of her boundless creativity and her commitment to nurturing the artistic spirit in others.
