All over the globe, people are learning about and making collage. Today we will join them! Learn about collage from an historical perspective. Who were the first collage artists? Why was collage considered a radical medium? How is collage used in contemporary art? Let the inspiration flow and your imagination soar as we explore collage as a medium and message. 

Meet the Artist: Julie A. Bell

Julie A. Bell is a native of Windsor, Ontario. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in printmaking – intaglio at the University of Windsor and her Master of Fine Arts in printmaking and drawing at Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge, U.S.A.

In addition to fine art, she has worked as an illustrator, graphic designer and instructor both in the U.S. and Canada. She has participated in numerous juried exhibitions both national and international and her work is in private collections across the world.

She currently works in mixed media collage on glass, canvas and paper. She is represented by galleries across Ontario.
