Look Again! Outside: St. Clair College

October 23, 2022 - October 21, 2025

St. Clair Campus, 2000 Talbot Rd., Windsor, ON

Launching Fall 2022, eleven reproductions of art from the collection of Art Windsor-Essex (AWE) will be placed throughout St Clair College’s main campus.

This edition of Look Again! Outside turns the main campus of St. Clair College into an outdoor art gallery.  Art collector and philanthropist Stephanie Zekelman has selected 11 works by 8 artists from AWE’s collection to reproduce. The large, thought-provoking reproductions bring bold colour and abstract shapes to gathering spaces and along walking paths across campus. Canadian and international artists featured in the display include Marcel Barbeau, Jack Bush, Allyson Clay, John Kissick, Rita Letendre, Jahan Maka, Gordon Rayner, Takao Tanabe, and Victor Vasarely.

St. Clair College students, staff, and faculty were involved in the production of the project from the design, planning, fabrication, and installation. Frames for the reproductions were fabricated using Atlas Tube Steel. Look Again! Outside: St Clair College will be on view for the next several years. In the coming months, students are invited to create a web app that will allow viewers to access information about the artworks using their personal devices. The artworks enliven the experience of walking around campus. Viewers are encouraged to engage with the displays and consider new perspectives and ways of thinking. This edition of Look Again! is part of a family of other outdoor artwork reproductions throughout Windsor, including Downtown Windsor.

Location: St Clair Campus, 2000 Talbot Rd., Windsor, ON N9G 3C3

Look Again! Outside: St. Clair College was made possible by a generous donation from the Stephanie and Barry Zekelman Foundation and with the generous in-kind support of St. Clair College.
