Art Windsor-Essex respectfully acknowledges that we are located on Anishinaabe Territory – the traditional territory of the Three Fires Confederacy of First Nations, comprised of the Ojibway, the Odawa, and the Potawatomi. Today the Anishinaabe of the Three Fires Confederacy are represented by Bkejwanong. We want to state our respect for the ancestral and ongoing authority of Walpole Island First Nation over its Territory.

Mark Laliberte: The Suspended Room
October 31, 1998 - January 31, 1999
AWE Gallery
The Suspended Room is an intense environment of sound and visuals. The central element in this edgy, twighlight space is a continuously alternating neon sign that establishes the mood of tension and expectation. The Suspended Room is a broken narrative play that explores life and death, mental instablity and issues of human intimacy.
Mark Laliberte is a Windsor-based artist who has his BFA in multimedia from the University of Windsor. His installation work as been shown in both Canada and the US.
