Art Windsor-Essex respectfully acknowledges that we are located on Anishinaabe Territory – the traditional territory of the Three Fires Confederacy of First Nations, comprised of the Ojibway, the Odawa, and the Potawatomi. Today the Anishinaabe of the Three Fires Confederacy are represented by Bkejwanong. We want to state our respect for the ancestral and ongoing authority of Walpole Island First Nation over its Territory.

The Canadian Landscape to 1945: Selections from the Collection
December 14, 2002 - February 16, 2003
AWE Gallery
This exhibition investigates the Canadian landscape across history and across the country’s regions. Featured works depict Maritime seascapes, western mountain ranges and rainforests, northern icebergs, and the forests and meadows found closer to home. The
Canadian Landscape to 1945 combines well-known and lesser-seen items from the AGW Collection, as well as traditional and more experimental directors in art.
