Thierry Delva

January 24, 2004 - March 21, 2004

AWE Gallery

The works in this exhibition are a part of how Thierry Delva’s ongoing investigation into how sculpture can represent contemporary life. Delva replicates mundance everyday objects in stone, focusing on temporary containers, which provide evidence of their original contents but are ultimately thrown away. By transforming disposable items into permanent sculptures, these works function as monuments to our consumer society.
