Art Windsor-Essex respectfully acknowledges that we are located on Anishinaabe Territory – the traditional territory of the Three Fires Confederacy of First Nations, comprised of the Ojibway, the Odawa, and the Potawatomi. Today the Anishinaabe of the Three Fires Confederacy are represented by Bkejwanong. We want to state our respect for the ancestral and ongoing authority of Walpole Island First Nation over its Territory.

AWE Gallery
With this project, the AGW continues to offer public programming during its relocation. Watch out for video art on view in storefront windows and commercial venues throughout downtown Windsor, such as Dean Martini’s, Lou Myles Designatore, Fidel’s, and Maiden Lane. These video works are intended for causal viewing, perhaps catching your attention while strolling by or during a conversation in a bar. The artists work with the effects of real time, preferring narratives of no clear beginning or end. Their works ask us to reflect on urban life.
