Art Windsor-Essex respectfully acknowledges that we are located on Anishinaabe Territory – the traditional territory of the Three Fires Confederacy of First Nations, comprised of the Ojibway, the Odawa, and the Potawatomi. Today the Anishinaabe of the Three Fires Confederacy are represented by Bkejwanong. We want to state our respect for the ancestral and ongoing authority of Walpole Island First Nation over its Territory.

Windsor Rock Wall
August 17, 2012 - September 9, 2012
AWE Gallery
Art Lounge in August launches the second edition of the Windsor’s unique Rock-Wall experiment, developed and organized by Tom Lucier, co-owner of Phog Lounge. While the Windsor Rock Wall is installed at the AGW, Lucier will actively expand the project based on input from local musicians.
Tom Lucier states: “The Windsor Rock Wall contains any band that has played live shows…even if it was just one time, as long as it was in front of a crowd… We accepted all genres of music, including cover bands, from any era. So far, rock has dominated, but pop, metal, screamo, electronic, folk, country, jazz, blues and more all have found their way onto the Wall. As long as the roots of the band was/is in Windsor/Essex, it’s fair game.”
