Art Windsor-Essex respectfully acknowledges that we are located on Anishinaabe Territory – the traditional territory of the Three Fires Confederacy of First Nations, comprised of the Ojibway, the Odawa, and the Potawatomi. Today the Anishinaabe of the Three Fires Confederacy are represented by Bkejwanong. We want to state our respect for the ancestral and ongoing authority of Walpole Island First Nation over its Territory.

The Art Gallery of Windsor presents a curator's tour of the 2011 AGW Biennial. Over the last six decades, the biennial has reinvented itself numerous times, experimenting and shifting its paradigms to understand cultural production in this diverse region. The 2011 AGW Biennial showcases an emerging momentum towards collaborative and interdisciplinary art practices that bridges diverse artists across a 100-mile radius. Please join us for an enjoyable evening to learn and celebrate local artists and practices in our community.
Stephen G A Mueller will premier his ongoing performance, PLEASE DON'T GO in Windsor. For a period of 10 days Mueller will inhabit a display case, made out of two-way mirrors, and carry out repetitive actions that symbolize his daily struggles of coping with loss and longing. Mueller's compelling performance will mark the final component of the 2011 AGW Biennial.
PLEASE DON'T GO will run from 7-11 December and 14-18 December, 2011, during gallery hours.
