Future Selves Greenscreen Workshop

What does the future hold for you? Fire up your imagination about your future self with Nolan Arthur.

About the Workshop

This workshop encouraged participants to imagine the future of their neighbourhood. Participants had the opportunity to think about their urban landscape, how they interact with their city, and about the possibilities of what the city can be for them and their community.

We then produced a collaborative zine in which the participants created collages to share their thoughts and ideas about their relation to the city. About the WorksheetThis worksheet encourages participants to think about the proposed new National Urban Park located in the Ojibway Nature Complex on the western edge of Windsor.  One half of the worksheet shows where the park is going to be in relation to Windsor and Sandwich Town. The other half is a food web activity where participants must draw out the food chain relations amongst some of the signature species of the new National Urban Park.

About the Artist: Nolan Arthur

Nolan Arthur is a character designer, visual development (VisDev) artist, and 2D animator based in Windsor, Ontario. He holds a BFA in Visual Art from the University of Windsor and has been drawing since early childhood. Deeply influenced by mid-century modern aesthetics and classic animated films like Fantasia 2000, Nolan reimagines traditional animation through a contemporary lens.

With a passion for storytelling and movement, Nolan brings a dancer’s understanding of motion to his fluid and expressive character designs. Working primarily in ProCreate on his iPad Pro, he also explores a wide range of traditional media, including watercolour, gouache, acrylic, and ink.

Inspired by artists like Milt Kahl, Claire Keane, Mary Blair, and Maurice Noble, Nolan’s work is whimsical, nostalgic, and grounded in a childlike sense of wonder. He creates magical, imaginative worlds that are intentionally detached from everyday reality—offering viewers a playful escape through art.
