Join curators Muriel Kahwagi and Julie Rae Tucker for an artist talk featuring Kara Springer. Kara Springer is an multidisciplinary artist who focuses on armature, the framework that supports a body. She uses photography, sculpture, and site-specific interventions to study how structures provide support in architecture, cities, and systems of power. Springer is one of the eighteen artists featured in BioCurious, on now at AWE. BioCurious brings together works by artists whose works explore living materials as their subject matter, and in some cases, their artistic medium.
