Quilt Workshop
Join us for a workshop where artist Lana Talbot will lead us in the creation of a quilt-like wall installation that celebrates the rich history of Sandwichtown. Participants will learn about the history of quilt making in relation to the Underground Railway and help to create panels for a wall hanging that celebrates the history of Sandwichtown.
About the Artist: Lana Talbot
My name is Lana E Talbot, and I was born in Windsor, Ontario I have been blessed to have two beautiful children, five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. My community means a great deal to me and my church, the Historic Sandwich First Baptist Church has always been a draw to me. Their is a beautiful spirit that resides in our church. I love the gift that GOD has given me, my art, my thirst for history and displaying my history through art. I always say that GOD has blessed my hands, I love to sing and sometimes do a little acting. I have written a few items, not yet published about who I really am.
