Art Windsor-Essex respectfully acknowledges that we are located on Anishinaabe Territory – the traditional territory of the Three Fires Confederacy of First Nations, comprised of the Ojibway, the Odawa, and the Potawatomi. Today the Anishinaabe of the Three Fires Confederacy are represented by Bkejwanong. We want to state our respect for the ancestral and ongoing authority of Walpole Island First Nation over its Territory.

The Joy of Colour is a series of 5 workshops focusing on using colour in bold and exciting ways. The world around us can be dull, but that doesn’t mean our art has to be! Each week we will be making art that pushes us to think about how we use colour, where we see it in our everyday lives and what colour palettes inspire us.
Want to improve your understanding of colour while doing a relaxing activity? In this workshop we will be learning about colour blocking and how to use a colour wheel while making abstract artworks with yarn.
Meet the Artist: Emma Feliciano
Emma Feliciano is an interdisciplinary artist, who recently completed her MFA at the University of Windsor. She works in photography, painting and textbased art, but is constantly looking for new mediums to try. Her practice aims to destigmatize mental health issues and encourage people to think about the language they use when discussing mental illness.
