AWE at Night: February 2023

On February 16, AWE will be open late from 5-9 pm for AWE at Night featuring art activities, food and beverage as well as lively entertainment. Come on out for the beautiful views – both inside and out!

Studio Activity ⎮ 5pm – 9pm, 2nd floor

Join The Artists of Colour in the 2nd floor Education Studio for a hands-on, mixed-media and paper quilt workshop. Create your own mixed-media quilt using paint, paper, and geometric designs. Meet the collective and explore what belonging means to you!

**Arabic Guided Tour of Manuel Mathieu: World Discovered Under Other Skies ⎮ 5:30pm – 6:00pm, 2nd floor**

Join us for a guided tour of the exhibition Manuel Mathieu: World Discovered Under Other Skies. Manuel Mathieu is known for vibrant, colourful paintings that seamlessly merge abstraction with figuration. His work reflects on our intertwined lives, in which the boundaries between the past and present or the personal and political are often blurred. Sharing recollections that depict everyday scenes, Mathieu also blends into his canvases an interrogation of the complex history of his familial homeland, Haiti.

Guided Tour of with Moment Factory ⎮ 6pm – 6:30pm, 3rd floor

Join Montreal-base Moment Factory to discover exciting new projects at AWE for 2023! Be the first to discover the new, immersive AI experience: Flowing Forces. Flowing Forces is an interactive experience that takes place inside the gallery. As visitors move through the gallery space, they are immersed in dynamic, artificial intelligence-assisted visuals that merge the physical and the digital worlds, connect all paintings, and contribute to the creation of a new work of art.

Music, food, and drink ⎮ 7pm – 9pm, 3rd floor

Let’s celebrate! Head up to the third floor to join us for music, food and drinks provided by Windsor Eats and CJAM 99.1 FM.

For a limited time, admission to attend AWE at Night is $5. Members always have free admission.
